VW is Top for Safety!

Volkswagen should be quite proud of themselves as four of their 2010 models received TOP SAFETY PICK from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.  The Jetta, Passat, Golf, and Tiguan were the four models that were awarded this honor.  While the cars from Cincinnati Ford are also known for being safe, the fact that four of VW's line up got top honors is something that will make headlines and help sell vehicles.  This is not to insinuate that the cars at Honda Dealer Miami are not just as safe as some of these models, but Volkswagen deserves some special kudos.

These awards are given and determined on how safe the vehicles are during front impact, rear impact, side impact, and rollover evaluations.  For a vehicle to get the TOP rating, it means that this brand has gone above and beyond the standards to make sure their passengers are kept safe.  Plus, they feature electronic stability control which can prevent crashes before they even occur.  These four VW models come standard with anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, and up to eight airbags.  Some models come with additional features, and there are always optional safety features you can upgrade to.

The VW Jetta is a popular sedan for people in their 20s, and it has a starting MSRP of $17,605.  The Passat is known for being family friendly and recent redesigns have made it more attractive than its predecessors; starting MSRP is $26,995.  VW lovers around the globe love driving the VW Golf, which starts at $19,190.  The newer SUV model, the Tiguan which is a combination of the words tiger and iguana, is spacious and has a starting MSRP of $23,200.  These safety ratings have been around since the end of 2009, and many consumers are quite happy with their 2010 model purchases.  Plus, with 2011 inventory starting to arrive on the lots, dealers are running incredible specials to clear out the 2010 inventory.
