Recalls Is The Responsibility Of Recent VP Resignation!

Just when you think things will die down, it's another recall. Kia has just issued recalls on four models worldwide due to fires. Kia Motors America said the faulty wiring harness could cause a short that then will start a fire. Kia Motors Corporation Vice President Chairman Jeong Sung Eun decided to resign recognizing the responsibility of the major recalls. He was in charge of the production division. Last week it was Ferrari with the 458 Italia with recalls. The Ferrari would catch on fire due to adhesive that would overheat. It seems like the engineers should catch this, isn't that what they go to school for? In this case, the VP resigns, to try and save the company's name. In that sense, just about every automaker has a recall now and then. Ford Dealers just had a recall on their older model Windstar due to corrosion. VW Dealers even has their small list of recalls to deal with also.

Kia recalls are aggressive but they have watched Toyota's roller coaster and do not want to follow in those footsteps. The recall includes a staggering 85,900 vehicles worldwide. Ouch, I am sure that has to hurt. In the U.S. alone, about 35,000 Kia Souls and Kia Sorentos from the 2010 and 2011 line ups. Then it doesn't end there, the company will recall about 18,000 Soul, Sorento and Borego models in China. The reason for that recall is due to the circuit board problems. Kia does have their hands full, with fulfilling their promise to consumers and fixing the issues at hand.

Shopping for a vehicle can somewhat become exhausting when trying to find the "perfect car". The recalls, safety and fuel economy is enough to keep your brain bouncing like a racket ball. For consumers, we have to deal with the recalls because we already bought the vehicle, just remember how your manufacturer treats you during your visit to the dealer. Will it take the dealership too long to fix it, will you be able to receive a rental or loaner? If they have all the intentions of keeping you number one, even though you're the fiftieth customer, that's the automaker to stick with.
