Are Small Vehicles Safe?

With increased demand for small vehicles all throughout the world, there is always the question of how safe these models are compared to their larger sedan counterparts. The latest small Mazda vehicles can be purchased during a Mazda Sale Sarasota deal. Small vehicles are known for their excellent fuel efficiency, but there is always the question of whether safety is a trade off for that fuel efficiency. Vehicles purchased at VW Peoria dealer are many times both fuel efficient and safe as Volkswagen has some of the best safety features out of any vehicle.

There are also Toyota Wichita dealers that sell models like the Prius and Yaris that are certainly small but are some of the most popular vehicle models in the world.

There is an expectation that small vehicle models will greatly increase in their demand over the next 3 years or 4 years as more consumers are interested in models that are not as expensive as hybrids but also have the same or similar fuel efficiency. With rumors that gas prices will reach as high as 4 to 5 dollars per gallon in the future (let's hope that never happens), small vehicles might actually become in higher demand than say sedans or pickup trucks in the United States and in the rest of the world.

There are statistics that show that small vehicle deaths per million vehicles are among the highest out of all of the vehicles. Pickup trucks have the highest number of deaths per million vehicles because of their tendency to roll over. Small vehicles often do not withstand head to head collisions very well, especially when the other vehicle is much larger. Accident rates for all vehicles have decreased over the past five years, which is the good news.

Although small vehicles may not be as safe as large vehicles, if one follows safe driving tips they can really reduce the chance of accidents.
